About

For most of my childhood I lived abroad, attending international schools and following the International Baccalaureate Programme. At the age of 18, I returned to my home country of The Netherlands to study psychology and in 2011 I received my master diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychology. In 2016 I completed a 2 year post master in School psychology and I am a registered Child and Adolescent Psychologist NIP & SKJ and GZ-Psychologist BIG. The past 10 years I have worked both in mental health care and at The International School of The Hague with children, adolescents and their families. As a child and adolescent psychologist I am passionate about working with clients to support them through a difficult period in their life, while focusing on their strengths and stimulating independence. I value working closely with schools during therapy/psychological assessment processes, since they are an integral part of a young person’s life. I have personal experience with the ups and downs of living abroad and moving regularly, and professional experience with working with international families. My mission is to support international families living in The Netherlands to feel at home, in their home away from home.
